The Lynx Distributor is a modular DC busbar with 4 fuse-protected connections, fuse monitoring capability and a ground connection. It monitors the status of each fuse and indicates its condition using the LEDs on the front.
Photonic Universe is an official distributor of products from Victron Energy - the globally renowned manufacturer of high quality hybrid power charging solutions. Victron Energy products and accessories have a longstanding reputation for their outstanding reliability, innovative design and superior build quality.
This Victron Energy Lynx Distributor, part of the Lynx distribution system, is a modular DC busbar unit made up of a positive and a negative busbar, with a nominal current rating of 1000A. The positive busbar has 4 fuse-protected connections with fuse monitoring capability, whereas the negative busbar has four connections and a ground connection.
The Lynx Distributor monitors the status of each fuse on the positive busbar and indicates its condition using the LEDs on the front. It has one power LED and four fuse status indication LEDs. If and when a fuse blows, the red fuse LED will illuminate and the power LED will turn red.
Please note that the Lynx Distributor is designed to hold MEGA fuses. These will need to be purchased separately.
Depending on the desired outcome, the Lynx Distributor can be used by itself or in combination with other Lynx distribution system modules (not included) such as:
Multiple Lynx Distributors or a Lynx Distributor with optional modules above can be connected in series together to extend the fusing and distribution busbar if needed.
Lynx Distributor does not have an in-build power supply to operate its fuse detection circuit; it relies on this power to be supplied from a Lynx Shunt via the RJ10 cable. Therefore, for standalone use, if the Lynx Distributor is used without a Lynx Shunt, it will need to be powered in an alternative way so that the fuse detection circuit is operational. The RJ10 cable (included) can be used to connect the Lynx Distributor to an external 5V (4.5V – 5.5V) DC source. If the fuse detection circuit is not needed, Lynx Power In module can be used instead.
